Is your child a candidate for Pre-Kindergarten? We would love to welcome them to Arcola Community School!

lay

Regina Public Schools welcomes Pre-Kindergarten students who are three and four years old.

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Education's Prekindergarten Program is a developmentally-appropriate early childhood education program for three and four year old children.  Space is limited and children who would benefit most from enhanced programming are prioritized for enrolment. Information about Pre-Kindergarten in Regina Public Schools can be found here.

The half-day program has a qualified teacher who provides play-based programming for 16 children for 10 months of the year.  Programming focuses on holistic child development: social-emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development.

Literacy and Oral Language Development

Literacy development begins at birth. It is supported by the stories, conversations, and experiences children have with their families through talking, singing, playing, reading and writing together.

Families, here are two brochures that give some suggestions about ways to support these important elements for young children. We are all teachers!
